Course Dates: 11/10, 11/12, 11/15, 11/17, 11/19, & 11/22 Weeknight Times: 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm Weekend Times: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Pre-Requisites: 1. A valid Healthcare Provider (or equivalent) CPR card 2. Current certification as a 911 Basic Telecommunicator Certification or proof of course completion. Course Description: This course is the state-mandated 32 Hour Emergency Medical Dispatch Program. This course is designed to provide dispatchers (Police/Fire/EMS) with the necessary information and skills to function as an EMD. This course will provide students with the secondary level of certification that is required for any officer or dispatcher who will answer 9-1-1 Medical Calls. Topics include responsibilities of an EMD, legal/liability issues, providing proper medical instructions by phone, and use of the emergency medical dispatch guide cards. This course includes role-playing simulated 9-1-1 medical calls.

Prerequisites:
1.     A valid Healthcare Provider (or equivalent) CPR card
2.     Current certification as a 911 Basic Telecommunicator Certification or proof of course completion.
