This class is held on Tuesday & Thursday nights & select Saturdays.
CEUs are available for portions of the class.
Weeknight Classes: 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Weekend Classes: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Minimum age: 18 years of age at the start of the course

The Specialized Technical Rescue Program (formerly Rescue Technician) is being run in association with the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute at the Bergen County EMS Training Center. This program will address a broad-based approach to special rescue needs. Areas to be addressed include site operations, resource/victim management, maintenance of tools, apparatus, hardware, and ropes/rigging/mechanical advantage systems. Additionally, specialty rescue areas such as vehicle extrication, confined space, trench, and water rescue. This class will also include SCBA, Hazardous Materials as well as Gas & Electric emergencies. Students must supply NFPA-approved fire fighting gear.
Minimum age: 18 years of age at the start of the course

If you are paying with a Bergen County Tuition Waiver Form, it is due within 5 days of registering. Please note that the Bergen County Tuition Waiver Form can only be used by agencies on the "New Jersey EMT Training Fund Eligible Agencies" List approved by the NJ Dept. of Health. You must be an EMT to use the Bergen County Tuition Waiver Form.
