Course: EMT Integrated Refresher Program Class B - BLOCK Instruction (2 Sessions)

Location: Bergen County EMS Training Center, East 281 Pascack Road, Paramus, NJ.

Description: The refresher class is designed to refresh your knowledge and skills needed to recertify your EMT certification.  In 2012, changes were made to the EMT Refresher program. The old CORE 13 has been replaced with three 8 hour core refresher programs:

CORE "A" - Airway/Patient Assessment
CORE "B" - Medical
CORE "C" - Trauma

These courses may be taken in any order and need to be completed prior to your expiration date along with your 24 elective CEUs needed to re-certify. This program includes classroom instruction and practical skills. In order to successfully complete this course, the student must attend ALL sessions, obtain at least 70% on all tests, & successfully pass the skills stations.

Pre-requisite:
You must have a current professional-level CPR card.

Textbook:
We strongly recommend a textbook for this program. The textbook can be purchased during office hours. The tuition exemption form does NOT cover book fees. We suggest that you purchase the book prior to class. You will have at least one 50-question written evaluation. There will also be practical skills evaluations. You must complete both to receive credit for the day.

The book we use is AAOS EMT Transition Manual (ISBN# 9781449609153). All books are non-refundable.
