Online Elective CEUs (Medical Emergencies #2)
Class Price: $1.50

Course Overview (2F4EE5):
This interactive lecture explores how to recognize and manage patients with signs of
allergic reactions and anaphylaxis. EMS calls involving an allergic reaction are common
and, although it is rare, death as a result of an allergic reaction is possible. The EMS
practitioner's ability to recognize the signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction may be the only thing standing between a patient's life and imminent death.

This interactive lecture explores six toxidromes and their management. It also delves
into Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome and Barbiturate Abstinence Syndrome, as
well as the effects of abuse of prescription medications, poisonous plants, and
nonprescription pain medications, and management of these patients. Finally, it includes a
special section on pediatric poisonings.
